local is a vibe

It’s that time of year again kids, the KWSS Fall Pledge Drive is November 8-14th, with our Fundraiser Show Saturday night at Last Exit Live!

Why do we do this?

KWSS is 100% independent, locally-owned and a 501(c)3 supporting the arts, entertainment, and small business community in Phoenix?

Everyone involved with the station volunteers their time.

Like NPR and PBS, KWSS relies on listener support for operational costs. Items such as music licensing, promotional materials, broadband connectivity, studio and transmitter facilities, insurance, power, web hosting and phones.

Unlike NPR and PBS, KWSS is not a part of a larger network of stations. FCC regulations requires us to remain fully independent and locally operated right here in Phoenix. This is one of the main reasons we can support so much local music without having to give up time to other local artists from other markets. We are proud of our unique mix of commercial, indie, and local music. There is nothing else like it on the FM!

How can you donate? SO many ways!

$25 donation you get a cool “Local is a Vibe” tshirt.

$40 donation you get the shirt and a KWSS mug.

$100 and you can program an hour of KWSS Radio!

Just head to our Support Page and tap the PayPal button to donate, or you can use Venmo @kwssradio.

You can also join us Saturday the 13th for the fundraiser show– proceeds benefit the station. $15 now, $20 at the door. We will have a limited run of shirts on hand, and several raffle items:

*80/20 Records Bear Ghost Vinyl Bundle

*Strawberry Hedgehog soap sample box

*Hookworm Records vinyl test pressing & Tshirt

*Stinkweeds $50 Gift Certificate

*KWSS Shirt/mug/backpack

*Roku Streaming Stick+

*2022 Local music calendar & necklace from Hothouse Orchid jewelry

It’s our 16th year on the air in Phoenix, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all of you for listening, donating, and sharing the love of our local community. Thank you and keep rockin’ local!
